Subject: Carline Procedures Dear Parents,

Welcome Back! I hope the summer of 2017 was great for everyone!  There are only a couple of days before school will begin on August 3rd.  When you come by the school you will see that there continues to be some construction.  The new gym will not be completed until at least August 9th. You will also see that the workers are completing landscaping and stripping the parking lot.  The parking lot stripping is scheduled to be complete by August 1st.

The city is still working on the road that will connect Lake Point Drive and Pine Forest Drive. Due to the city's road construction we will have only one entrance onto campus. We will have signs to let you know the process, and we will have people directing traffic for a few days until you get the hang of it.

This year we will have an elementary carline and a high school carline.  The elementary carline will be similar to last year's carline.  The students will drop off and pickup in front of the elementary school.  In order to speed things along we will drop off all the way down to the elementary cafeteria. The high school carline will enter the campus at the same place the elementary carline enters, but take a left turn to go in front of the high school. If you have an elementary student and a high school student please use the elementary carline.  The high school student will then walk to the back of the high school.  Elementary students will not be allowed to exit vehicles in the high school carline.

Please click the link for the three attachments.  The first is the elementary carline route.  Take the orange route and the drop off/pickup begins and ends in the red.  The second attachment is the high school carline route.  Take the green route and the drop off/pickup begins and ends in the red.  The third attachment identifies the designated student parking area in blue.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL -All students must enter the building from the front. The back cafeteria door will be locked. Students coming from the community center lower parking lot will go through the playground to go around the building.

HIGH SCHOOL - When you arrive on campus go to the commons area (picnic tables) between the gym and the cafeteria. If you want to eat breakfast between 7:30 and 7:45 you may go to the HS cafeteria.

The first few days will be a learning experience for everyone.  Once we see how things go we may make some changes. Please stay flexible and patient.  Take it slow and easy when you are driving on campus.  The first priority is the safety of our students, staff and parents.

I look forward to another great year at Maumelle Charter Elementary School and Maumelle Charter High School!

Thank You,

Rob McGill

Executive Director
