Two APCSI Schools will receive a share of the approximately $7 million in reward money from the Arkansas School Recognition Program. Awards are based on the state required assessment information from the 2023-24 school year.
Maumelle Charter Middle (Top 6-10% Performance in State) - $28,268.46
Maumelle Charter Elementary (Top 5% Performance & Growth in State) - $116,893.32
The Arkansas School Recognition Program provides financial awards to the top 10 percent of public schools that achieve high student performance on the state-required assessments in grades 3 through 10 and the top 10 percent of public schools that achieve high student academic growth, including high school graduation rates where applicable. Schools in the top 5% receive rewards of up to $100 per student enrolled, and schools in the top 6-10% receive $50 per student enrolled.
“Congratulations on your dedication and hard work in making a positive impact on student achievement!” said Rob McGill, Chief Executive Officer. “Your high expectations along with a commitment to excellence is truly inspiring and shaping a brighter future for students.”
Schools receiving recognition funds are required to establish a committee to determine how to use the funds. The committee will include the principal, a teacher and a parent representative.
