Welcome

Good Morning, Falcons!

We can't thank you enough for showing up and showing out at open house! We lost count at 1,500 students, parents, and family members gracing our doors last night. We are so lucky to have a great community of support and positivity towards the 2025-2026 school year.

For our incoming 8th grade and all new students, WELCOME!!!! We hope you take the time to get to know our AMAZING staff and know the amount of love and support we have for you. YOU are the reason we do our jobs and you are about to enter into the BEST school in the nation academically and individually.

Maumelle Charter High is the last stop before adulthood so we keep expectations high while investing in your well-being to create our atmosphere. We believe the key ingredient to success is teamwork with our parents and students towards growing and developing the high performers and well rounded students we see graduate our halls. It isn't always easy and you WILL be challenged, but know that you are also loved and embraced for being you! Don't hesitate to reach out to any of our wonderful faculty, staff, and peer students should you ever need anything. WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!

For those that missed open house, I have attached the WELCOME packet that's full of need to knows. PLEASE READ IT IN IT'S ENTIRETY, INCLUDING THE LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL. Parents, it includes instructions regarding drop off, uniform guidelines, and parent logins to HAC (students can contact any teacher for their HAC logins). Please keep in mind that, in order to keep the focus on learning, we adhere strictly to the handbook uniform policy (which eliminated the option for denim uniform pants and moved falconwear from Monday to Friday) and new state law banning cellphones. Our parents have been very supportive of our policies and we will continue working with you all this year to solicit your feedback and ensure students remain the priority.

Communication is key, and I guarantee I will communicate with you as much as possible. We also love hearing from you regarding shoutouts, positive referrals, etc. If you ever have a classroom issue, please reach out to your child's teacher first before contacting administration to allow them the opportunity to respond. Our faculty and staff is very easy to approach and welcomes your feedback.

Lastly, get some rest and relaxation this weekend. Students, enjoy your weekend and ENJOY your first day of school, lets make this the best year yet!

Welcome Back Packet

Sincerely,

Katie Johnson, MCHS Principal
