Dear Parents and Guardians,

MCHS will be conducting routine health screenings for all 8th grade students on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

Students will participate in the following screenings:

• Vision

• Hearing

• Scoliosis

• BMI

Opt-Out Information:
Parents/guardians may choose to opt their child out of the scoliosis and BMI screenings. This can be done by indicating your preference on the health form completed at the beginning of the school year or by emailing the school nurse.

Please help your child prepare:

• Female students should wear a sports bra or fitted tank top under their uniform shirt for the scoliosis screening.

• Students who wear glasses or contact lenses should bring or wear them for the vision screening.
