Today, students in Math Foundations got hands-on with learning about 3D shapes! They explored edges, vertices, and the world of geometric figures through fun, interactive activities. Great to see everyone engaging and discovering new concepts in such a creative way!

Due to the threat of severe weather, all after-school activities, practices, and extended care are canceled for today, Wednesday, April 2, 2025. At this time, we plan to follow our regular dismissal schedule. We will continue to monitor conditions and update you if anything changes. Shoutout to our amazing 6th graders in Strategic Reading! 📚✨ They’ve been rocking their phonics center folders, each packed with games and activities to boost different reading skills. So proud of their hard work and how much fun they’re having! 🙌

Huge congratulations to these talented students for advancing through multiple rounds of our school and district science fairs! They each earned their spot at the Central Arkansas Regional Science and Engineering Fair at UALR this past February! We even had a few place among all students there from multiple schools in Arkansas. Great job and we’re so proud of you!

Dear MCMS Families, I am pleased to formally announce the appointment of Ms. Elise Cawthon as our new 6th grade ELA/SS teacher. A proud graduate of Maumelle Charter, Ms. Cawthon earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Arkansas. After completing her studies, she taught 7th grade math for two years before returning to MCMS this fall as a substitute teacher. In her spare time Ms. Cawthon enjoys hiking and quilting. We are thrilled to welcome her back to our school community.
