Our EAST students competed in Capture the Flag at Arch Ford Education Service Cooperative last week — they had a fantastic time and made us proud!
🟩They were the only middle school represented among 31 teams.
🟥Our 6th grade girls placed 13th of 31 and made history as the 4th group out of 400 teams ever to open one of the lockers.
🟩Our boys finished 24th and 25th out of 31.

When there is a possibility of school closure or delay, please watch for a text/email from the school. We will also notify the local TV stations (4, 7, 11, & 16). On the TV look for MAUMELLE CHARTER SCHOOLS or SCOTT CHARTER SCHOOL. One school could be open and the other closed. Every effort will be made to make a decision no later than 6:15 a.m. on the day a closing or delay may occur. We have several options concerning the closing/opening/delay of school. They are as follows:
1. Closed. (No school and evening events are cancelled, i.e. ball games, PTO meetings, etc.).
2. 1 hr. delay. (All morning activities are delayed 1 hour. No breakfast served).
3. 2 hr. delay. (All morning activities are delayed 2 hours. No breakfast served).
4. Open as normal. No text/email message or TV notification. Do not expect notification if we are open as normal.
Our goal is to have school open when at all possible, but the safety of students, staff and parents is the priority. There may be times when we do something different than surrounding school districts. Please make sure you watch for your school on the TV and be alert for a school email/text.

Special Education and 504 records to be destroyed for students who graduated, moved, or were dismissed from services on or before 2019. This destruction is scheduled for November 1, 2025.

This school year, teachers from both our elementary and middle school are taking part in a leadership program designed to strengthen collaboration, inspire innovation, and grow future leaders in education. 💡✏️📚
We are so proud of these educators for stepping up to learn, lead, and bring fresh ideas back to their classrooms and schools. Their dedication helps create stronger opportunities for our students every day! 💙
