For World Kindness Day, SGA students were spreading joy and positivity yesterday morning by greeting students with heartfelt posters and kindness cards. Whether it was a simple note or an inspiring quote, each card served as a small but meaningful gesture to brighten someone's day and create a ripple effect of goodwill. It was a beautiful reminder that a little kindness can go a long way!

Ms. Blakely and Ms. Robertson each had their very own special veterans come visit their classes on Monday. Ms. Blakely’s father was a pilot in the US Airforce and Ms. Robertson’s father was a Senior Chief in the Navy. Thank you, both, for your service!

The Arkansas Department of Education has released the ATLAS test results for the 2023-2024 school year. You can access your child's scores through the Family Portal in the ATLAS Reporting System. Good evening! I hope you all had a wonderful fall break! We have a few announcements for the upcoming week. We will be taking the interim ATLAS tests Tuesday - Friday this week. These test will give us very important data to assist in guiding teaching/learning moving forward. Please encourage your child to put forth their best effort! With that, we will be using the parent lunch room for testing, meaning parent lunch will be outside ONLY Tuesday - Friday this week. Halloween parties will be Thursday. Room parents will enter at 2:30, all other parents at 2:45. The Flu clinic is also Thursday for those that signed their child up.

The school-wide Flu Clinic, provided by the NLR Health Department, will be on October 31, from 1:00 - 3:00. Consent forms were sent home earlier this week with your child. Please complete both the FERPA and ADH consent forms and return by Friday, October the 18th if you would like your child to participate. Email karen.bowers@academicsplus.org with any questions.

Falcon Families, In the United States, Patriot Day occurs on September 11th of each year in the memory of the people impacted from the events on September 11, 2001. MCES, MCMS and MCHS will be honoring those people by wearing red, white, and blue. *As always, free dress days must abide by the handbook. If a student does not wish to participate, regular school uniform must be worn. Thank you!

Out of an abundance of caution, we will not be allowing visitors on campus for lunch today, as we focus on ensuring safety for all students.

The previous message stated testing is from 9/9-9/13. NWEA testing will be from 9/10-9/13 for all students new to the district. There will be no second chance breakfast during the testing days.

If your child is needing help getting their CSL hours, see the sign-up below for our custodial assistance where students will help our custodial staff after school. Sept. 10 - Sept. 13: All new students will take the NWEA test Sept. 9 - Sept. 13: NO SECOND CHANCE BREAKFAST Sept. 10 - Sept. 20: Due to the book fair, the parent lunch room will be off limits. If you choose to eat lunch with your child, you will have to eat outside at the picnic tables.

It is time for our 4th and 5th graders to sign up for MCMS Enrichment! Please see the attached flyer to learn about the many different enrichment opportunities offered this year.
