
Good morning! We'd like to take a moment to shoutout our SCS Spotlights for the week of 10/7!
Our spotlight for Monday was Micah Patterson! Micah is very involved in her academics and serves as an active member of the SCS Band, FFA, SGA, and SCS Volleyball team. She is very intelligent and does her best in each of her classes to exceed the expectations that are set for her. Micah is a kind young lady that displays good citizenship on a daily basis and always demonstrates respect to her teachers and peers. She is very thoughtful when interacting with others and always leads by example. Thank you for being a role model student, Micah Anne!
Our SCS spotlight for the day on Tuesday was Harleen Parish! Harleen is aware of her challenges and has worked adamantly to set goals. She’s improving and working super hard to achieve them. She is also a great peer, often deescalating disagreements and finding a mutual understanding for all. We are proud to call Harleen a Scott Charter Mustang! Keep up the good work, Harleen!
Our SCS spotlight for the day on Wednesday was Bryson Hughes!. Bryson is a hard worker who is always ready to assist others. As soon as he completes his work he is ready to offer assistance to others. Bryson works hard to keep my room clean and tidy. He is very organized and eager to learn, he tries his hardest and has excelled throughout the year so far. Keep up the great work, Bryson!
Our SCS Spotlights for the day for Thursday were Camila Marroquin and Aubrey Johnson! Both of these young ladies are very kindhearted and go out of their way to do kind things for others without being asked. They were caught picking up trash on the playground one day without any directions being given or a reward for doing so ---- only for the purpose of giving back to others and taking care of their school. We are proud to call them Mustangs! Keep up the great work, Camila Marroquin and Aubrey Johnson! You are great role models!
Our SCS spotlight for the day on Friday was Malik Scales. Malik has shown significant growth as a student athlete. His determination for success led him to attempt many challenging tasks and build a gritty attitude towards life. If Malik puts his mind to it, there is nothing he can't accomplish. Keep up the good work, Malik!
We can't wait to find out who staff will nominate this week!


School picture day is here! All students will take their school year book pictures on Thursday October, 10th. Just a few reminders:
If parents would like to order pictures, they can use the QR Code on the picture form, or you can use cash or check and place that IN THE ORDER FORM and return to school on 10/10.
Please contact the front office if you need another order form.
Every student will get their picture taken no matter if they have ordered or not.
All students must be in school uniform for pictures.


Good morning! Please don't forget to communicate with your child's teacher for conferences on 10/8 and 10/10 to schedule a time for an in-person or virtual conferences. We're excited to discuss your student this evening and Thursday evening!

Our SCS spotlight for Monday is Chandler Mixon! Chandler is new to SCS this year, but has grown and shown that he has the determination to overcome challenges both in and out of the classroom. He has shown to have a creative spirit and a laugh that can light up a room. We look forward to seeing how far you will go, Chandler! Keep up the great work!
Our SCS spotlight for Tuesday is Peyton Guess. Peyton always comes in with a good attitude and works hard. Even when something is difficult for him, he perseveres and keeps trying. He is always polite and looks for ways to help his teachers. He is a great student! Keep up the great work, Peyton!
Our SCS spotlight for Wednesday is Colton Kumpe! Colton is the Favorite Firstie of the Week! This gentle and quiet soul makes a huge impact on the daily operations of the Firstie Crew. He is easy to notice since he is the lead Mustang of the Firstie’s line. He makes sure each student moves like a Mustang throughout our school. He is an excellent listener, takes directions well and he is a wonderful leader. Colton, we are so proud of you and the job that you do in our school. Keep up the great work!
Our SCS Spotlight for Thursday Charlie Moore. Charlie has been determined to exhibit positive behavior within the classroom and around the school. He has been holding himself as well as his classmates accountable for following school rules and procedures everyday. Charlie actively participates in classroom discussions and has demonstrated persistence in overcoming challenging topics. Charlie pushes himself everyday to be better than the day before. Keep it up Charlie!
Our SCS spotlight for Friday is KeMya Dunn! KeMya has committed herself to maintaining good grades, and she has worked diligently during Q1. She is academically dedicated, and she is an example of the results of steady effort and determination. We see your effort, KeMya! Keep up the good work.
Congrats again to these model Mustangs! We can't wait to celebrate more students next week!


We'd love to take a moment this morning to show some love to our SCS Spotlights from last week!
Our SCS Spotlight for last Monday was Easton Callas! Easton always comes in with a smile on his face and has a wonderful personality. Easton is kind and has shown that will be a friend to anyone. He is always willing to learn and participate in class. Easton is a leader and a helper to his peers and teachers. We are so lucky to have Easton at Scott Charter! Keep up the great work!
Our SCS spotlight for Tuesday was Baylee Bryant. Baylee is a hard worker on and off the volleyball court. She’s always willing to participate in class and is always on task. She’s not afraid to ask for help and seeks out every opportunity for improvement. She always has a positive attitude and is always willing to help others.
Our SCS spotlight for Wednesday was Tanaysha King. Tanaysha has been very motivated to just get up and come to school everyday. Even when she misses the bus, she reaches out to get picked up so she can come to school and learn. Her teachers state that this year, they have seen a big improvement in Tanaysha. She has been very attentive and not afraid to say she doesn’t understand or if something isn’t right. She put the effort in checking her grades and will correct and help her peers. We are proud to have you at SCS. Keep up the great work, Tanaysha!
Our SCS Spotlight for Thursday was Jett Hegwood! Jett always participates in classroom discussions! He loves to be involved and take responsibility for his learning. He is very helpful with classroom tasks. Jett shows integrity everyday and he will be seen doing the right thing, even when he thinks no one is watching him. He's also persevered and pushed himself to read more! Keep up the great work, Jett!
Our SCS spotlight for Friday was Addison Smith. Addison is always ready to rock and roll, and she is so responsible. She knows how to read a room and can help if need be or give friends space. She is very intelligent and a hard working, kind hearted student. We are proud to call Addison a Mustang! Keep up the great work, Addison!

Our SCS spotlight for Monday was Oren Hardage! Oren always shows an enthusiasm for learning in science and math. This year, he has been seen holding his peers accountable for their actions and being a class leader. Oren challenges himself to do his best work and ask questions when he needs help. Keep up the great job, Oren!
Our SCS spotlight for Tuesday was Kameron Chambers! Kameron is new to the SCS family, but came in ready for a great year. Kam is extremely engaged in class, a strong encourager to his classmates, and is always trying to put his best foot forward! Kam also shows what it means to move like a mustang by being on his best behavior at all times! We all enjoy having Kam as a part of our 3rd grade crew! Keep up the great work!
Our SCS spotlight for Wednesday was Aubrey Johnson! Aubrey is this week's Favorite Firstie! Aubrey is new to our SCS family this year, but she is an absolute perfect fit into our family. She is caring and always helpful to anyone who is in need. Aubrey is always encouraging to others and she always sees the positive side of things and uses that to brighten anyone’s day. We are so proud to have you be a part of our school family, Aubrey!
Our SCS Spotlight for Thursday was Andre White! Andre has an easy-going personality and is always willing to work and give effort on his assignments. He has been doing a great job in aftercare, beginning with always following directions from the teacher. Andre has demonstrated so much growth behaviorally and academically. We know that there are great things ahead for Andre. Keep up the good work!
Our SCS spotlight for Friday is Jaidyn Osby! Jaidyn has been described as always being courteous, polite, and helpful in the classroom. She always tries her best and strives to get her work completed on time. When faced with difficulties, she is willing to ask for help from classmates and is also willing to extend help to those who need it. Jaidyn is an excellent advocate for herself and others. Keep up the great work, Jaidyn!

Our SCS Spotlight for Tuesday: Our SCS spotlight for Tuesday is a wonderful 2nd Grader! He is always polite and a helping friend. As a class, Ms. Rochelle’s students are working on being more engaged during lessons and he not only makes an effort, but sets a good example for his peers. He follows directions and has shown great improvement as a scholar. He’s a model Mustang. Keep up the great work!
Our SCS spotlight for Wednesday is Paris Hinnant! Paris is a very talented student athlete, as she shows her knowledge and skills in the classroom and on the court. She is very intelligent and does her best in each of her classes to exceed the expectations that are set for her. Paris is a kind young lady that displays good citizenship on a daily basis and always demonstrates respect to her teachers and peers. Thank you for being a role model student, Paris! Our SCS Spotlights for Thursday is Tristen Williams! Tristen is a hard worker and always willing to lend a helping hand. He has a great sense of humor and can brighten anyone’s day. Tristen is a very intelligent student, and we see only great things for his future! Keep up the great work, Tristen!
Our SCS spotlight for Friday is Zeyna Ndoye! Zeyna is a studious worker and a big help in the classroom. She has a kind heart and a beautiful soul. Zeyna loves school, and it shows through her hard work and academic tenacity. Thank you for being a model student, Zeyna! We are proud to call you a Scott Charter Mustang!

Monday, our SCS Spotlight was Camila Rubi! Camila always comes to class prepared and ready to learn. She is a very hard worker and always willing to support her fellow classmates. She always strives for excellence and does an amazing job assuming a leadership role amongst her peers. We are proud to call Camila an SCS Mustang! Keep up the great work!
Our SCS spotlight for Tuesday was 6th grader, Collin Robinson. Collin is a new student at SCS, but he is already demonstrating that he has what it takes to be a Mustang. Collin is always motivated to learn. He is a team player and loves to help others. Collin is always attentive in class and is not ashamed to ask for help when needed. We are proud to have you at Scott Charter School. Keep up the great work, Collin!
Wednesday, Liam Jones was our SCS Spotlight! Liam Jones in 4th grade, and Liam has been working diligently in class this year by being highly engaged, asking questions for clarification on challenging topics, and keeping a positive attitude! Liam has set goals to make this year a great one, and so far he has been successful!
Brooklyn Bowers was our spotlight on Wednesday! Brooklyn is new to SCS this year, but she has shown that she is a great addition to our school family. She is motivated to continue to grow and learn daily, all while demonstrating a growth mindset for herself and her friends. She has taken the initiative to find ways to be involved in ways to improve the culture at SCS. We are proud to call you a Mustang, Brooklyn! Keep up the great work!
Our SCS spotlight for Friday is Senior, Lawson Tilton! Lawson is always on top of his studies and leads by example. He has a great sense of humor and is a great representation and role model for his peers. He is always willing to lend a helping hand and support those around him. We are proud to have you at Scott Charter School, Lawson! Keep up the great work!

Our SCS spotlight for Monday was, 3rd grader, Raelyn Bradford! Throughout the first couple of weeks of school, Raelyn has helped new students feel welcomed while exuding what it means to move like a Mustang! Raelyn's leadership skills and idea of friendship show why she deserves to be the Mustang Spotlight! Way to start the year Rae Rae! Keep up the great work!
Our SCS spotlight for Tuesday was, kindergartener, Laylah Wilson! Laylah is such a sweet, caring, and hard working student. She has shown how to be a leader in and out of the classroom and is working so hard in school. She is a friend to anyone and such a big helper. We are so glad to have you as a Mustang! Keep up the great work, Laylah!
Our SCS Spotlights for Wednesday was, 8th grader, Jailey Mahomes! Jailey is a first year EAST student at SCS. She has exceptional typing, leadership, and presentation skills. Jailey can be seen actively taking on leadership roles during peer group activities, eagerly performing community service work at school, and helping fellow classmates, when needed. She truly has a mindset to help others. We are so glad to have her at SCS. Jailey, keep up the great work!
Our SCS Spotlight for Thursday, and for the second week in a row, Kenzleigh Burns (5th Grade)! Kenzleigh is an excellent example of a SCS Mustang. She is kind to others, completes work before doing anything else, and helps those who are in need. She has made our new 5th grade students feel welcome and comfortable. She is always ready to learn and always offers assistance. Keep up the great work, Kenzleigh!
Our SCS spotlight for Friday is, 7th grader, Imani Payton! Imani is new to Scott Charter School this year. Imani is always on time, is always attentive in class, and works diligently every day. We are so happy to have Imani as part of our Mustang family. Great job, and welcome to Scott Charter School, Imani!

Our SCS spotlight for Monday is kindergartener, Ava Gordon! Ava is a sweet and intelligent young lady. Her enthusiasm and curiosity make learning a joy for everyone around her. Even though she is a new SCS student, she is a leader in her classroom. Keep up the great work, Ava! We are proud to call you a Scott Charter Mustang!
Our SCS spotlight for Tuesday is 1st grader, Tahj Morgan! Tahj is this weeks Favorite "Firstie." He has demonstrated leadership capabilities throughout this past week. He doesn’t hesitate to help his fellow peers or even around the classroom. Tahj is a very well mannered, respectful student who demonstrates what it is to be a true Mustang here at SCS. Keep up the great work, Tahj!
Our SCS Spotlights for Wednesday are Jimena Rubi Zepeda & Kylei Tibbs! Both students were nominated by Mr. Chenault, who stated that their willingness and eagerness to put forth the effort to undertake a helpful task of helping him organize his classroom bookshelves, was very impressive. They also demonstrated high levels of responsibility and accountability to coordinate and arrange times with other teachers to assist with the task. Mr. Chenault also shared that he has great expectations and full confidence in these young ladies. Keep up the great work, Kylei and Jimena! Thank you for being helpful and supportive to your teacher!
Our SCS Spotlight for Thursday is 2nd grader, Raylynn Shultz! Raylynn has been super engaged in class and has been trying really hard on all of her classroom activities. According to her teacher, she has taken on a leadership role in the classroom and takes that role very seriously. Way to go Raylynn! We are proud to call you an SCS Mustang!
Our SCS spotlight for Friday is Kenzleigh Burns. Kenzleigh has demonstrated a strong work ethic and has shown integrity throughout each day. Kenzleigh was a secret student by being a model student in every class. We are so proud to call Kenzleigh an SCS Mustang! We are so proud of you!
