All students will be photographed for spring pictures tomorrow morning. Proofs will be sent home at a later date for parents to order. Kindergarten cap and gown pictures will also take place.
School uniforms are not required for spring pictures, but attire must still be appropriate according to the school handbook.

Monday was kindergartener, Payton Yadon! Peyton always has a smile on his face every day and is a friend to anyone. He works so hard and is always engaged in his learning and is participating. He is a leader in and out of the classroom. We are so lucky to have you at Scott Charter School. Keep up the great work, Payton!
Tuesday was Baylee Bryant! Baylee is always cheerful, and willing to go out of her way to help her classmates and others. Baylee looks for opportunities to be a helper, and is unfailingly polite at all times. She is a great example for her peers! We are proud to call Baylee an SCS Mustang! Keep up the great work!
Wednesday was Corbyn Ice! Corbyn is a self motivated scholar whose attention to detail and depth of knowledge inspires others. Corbyn is our local expert on many areas of study, specifically military history. His skills in memory and making connections are superb. Corbyn's high ambitions are truly something to learn from. If he wants to, Corbyn has the capability to achieve any goal he has in mind. Keep up the good work, Corbyn!
Thursday was Devonte Slater. Devonte is a loyal student to SCS, being devoted as a Mustang since the 4th grade. Devonte is always willing to lend a helping hand to others around him. He uses confidence and resilience to do his best with his classes and activities. David is reliable and has great integrity. He has also been a tremendous help to the custodial staff and office staff each afternoon. Thank you for being a role model student and an amazing person, Devonte! We are proud to call you a Scott Charter Mustang!
Friday was Chloe Blackburn. Chloe is an honorary Mustang, as she has been here since our first year, starting as a 2nd grade student. Chloe is a joy to have in class. She is great during class discussions and always has an interesting point of view. Keep up the good work, Chloe!. You’re an inspiration.

With the Thanksgiving Break approaching, we want to give our families two weeks of spotlights!
Dyce Jackson! Dyce has shown tremendous growth academically. He is always willing to help out around the class. With some help from his teacher, Dyce has set personal goals for his behavior, and he is taking accountability for his actions. He shows remorse and is trying to correct behavior. We are very proud of you, Dyce! Keep up the good work!
(Not pictured) Jacob Hegwood! Jacob is a natural born leader and has been a fantastic hype man for SGA! He was recently promoted to Jr High representative and has taken on the responsibility boldly. His energy and enthusiasm inspires others and is a breath of fresh air during the day. Jacob is destined for greatness wherever he chooses to go. Keep up the great work, Jacob!
Kaylynn Roberts! Kaylynn shows perseverance in everything she does. She tries her best and always has a smile on her face. Kaylynn is respectable to everyone she meets and shows empathy towards others. She is a great example of a SCS Mustang. We are proud to have you at Scott Charter School. Keep up the great work!
Camila Rubi! Camilia is an outstanding student in every way. She always displays leadership, character, and her ability to help others. She is a great student role model and does a wonderful job representing herself and her school in all of her extracurriculars, which includes athletics, FFA, and SGA. We can expect great things from Camila in the future. Keep up the great work!
Zachary Smith! Zach has been a Scott Charter Mustang for a long time! We’ve seen Zachary grow holistically, from his academics to his community service. He is a hard worker and always willing to help those around him. It’s rare to see Zachary with a bad attitude, or a frown on his face. He is a leader, and a foundational piece of our school culture. We are proud that he is a Scott Charter Mustang. Way to go.
Riley Jo Post! Riley Jo is an intelligent young lady that does her best in each of her classes on a daily basis. She is very kind and always displays good citizenship by showing respect to her teachers and peers. She is very thoughtful when interacting with others and always leads by example. As a student-athlete, Riley Jo is a team player who works hard both on the court and in the classroom. Keep up the great work, Riley Jo!
Ethan Hubbard! Ethan is a sweet, respectful, caring student. He is always willing to learn and meet goals that we set. He is a leader in and out of the classroom. Mason Carson! Mason has shown growth in reading and is always enthusiastic about learning more ELA skills. He enjoys helping and working with his peers and always takes ownership of his learning. We are proud that Mason has made Scott Charter his school home. Way to go, Mason!
Aiden Bernard. Aiden’s growth academically and behaviorally has been PHENOMENAL to watch! Aiden is thriving in and out of the classroom, and we couldn’t be prouder! We are so happy to have Aiden as a member of our 3rd Grade Angels and a student at SCS. Keep up the great work, Aiden!
Raylynn Schlutz. Raylynn is working hard on improving her behavior. She has shown tremendous growth in recognizing areas for improvement and taking positive steps toward better choices in and out of the classroom. We are proud to see how far Raylynn has come! Keep up the great work, Raylynn!


Good afternoon! This is the week before Spring Break! Each day we will have a different spirit theme! Let’s go into the break in high spirits!

Our 1st and 2nd grade students will be having a balloon dance this Wednesday from 4pm-6pm and our 3rd-6th grades will have a Glow Party on Thursday from 4pm-6pm. The entry fee will be $10 and all proceeds will be used to support our SCS Band. We can't wait to party with our students! See you there! Our annual Thanksgiving Lunch will take place on November 21st! The lunch menu is posted, and guest meals are $5. Payments and forms are due by November 8th. Payments can be made with cash or by scanning the QR Code. Can't wait to see you all there.

Reminder that tomorrow (October 17th) will be our students vs staff volleyball game! The game will take place at 1:30, and concessions will be sold. Tickets are still being sold for $1.

Good morning! We'd like to take a moment to shoutout our SCS Spotlights for the week of 10/7!
Our spotlight for Monday was Micah Patterson! Micah is very involved in her academics and serves as an active member of the SCS Band, FFA, SGA, and SCS Volleyball team. She is very intelligent and does her best in each of her classes to exceed the expectations that are set for her. Micah is a kind young lady that displays good citizenship on a daily basis and always demonstrates respect to her teachers and peers. She is very thoughtful when interacting with others and always leads by example. Thank you for being a role model student, Micah Anne!
Our SCS spotlight for the day on Tuesday was Harleen Parish! Harleen is aware of her challenges and has worked adamantly to set goals. She’s improving and working super hard to achieve them. She is also a great peer, often deescalating disagreements and finding a mutual understanding for all. We are proud to call Harleen a Scott Charter Mustang! Keep up the good work, Harleen!
Our SCS spotlight for the day on Wednesday was Bryson Hughes!. Bryson is a hard worker who is always ready to assist others. As soon as he completes his work he is ready to offer assistance to others. Bryson works hard to keep my room clean and tidy. He is very organized and eager to learn, he tries his hardest and has excelled throughout the year so far. Keep up the great work, Bryson!
Our SCS Spotlights for the day for Thursday were Camila Marroquin and Aubrey Johnson! Both of these young ladies are very kindhearted and go out of their way to do kind things for others without being asked. They were caught picking up trash on the playground one day without any directions being given or a reward for doing so ---- only for the purpose of giving back to others and taking care of their school. We are proud to call them Mustangs! Keep up the great work, Camila Marroquin and Aubrey Johnson! You are great role models!
Our SCS spotlight for the day on Friday was Malik Scales. Malik has shown significant growth as a student athlete. His determination for success led him to attempt many challenging tasks and build a gritty attitude towards life. If Malik puts his mind to it, there is nothing he can't accomplish. Keep up the good work, Malik!

School picture day is here! All students will take their school year book pictures on Thursday October, 10th. Just a few reminders:
If parents would like to order pictures, they can use the QR Code on the picture form, or you can use cash or check and place that IN THE ORDER FORM and return to school on 10/10.
Please contact the front office if you need another order form.
Every student will get their picture taken no matter if they have ordered or not.
All students must be in school uniform for pictures.

Our SCS spotlight for Tuesday is Peyton Guess. Peyton always comes in with a good attitude and works hard. Even when something is difficult for him, he perseveres and keeps trying. He is always polite and looks for ways to help his teachers. He is a great student! Keep up the great work, Peyton!
Our SCS spotlight for Wednesday is Colton Kumpe! Colton is the Favorite Firstie of the Week! This gentle and quiet soul makes a huge impact on the daily operations of the Firstie Crew. He is easy to notice since he is the lead Mustang of the Firstie’s line. He makes sure each student moves like a Mustang throughout our school. He is an excellent listener, takes directions well and he is a wonderful leader. Colton, we are so proud of you and the job that you do in our school. Keep up the great work!
Our SCS Spotlight for Thursday Charlie Moore. Charlie has been determined to exhibit positive behavior within the classroom and around the school. He has been holding himself as well as his classmates accountable for following school rules and procedures everyday. Charlie actively participates in classroom discussions and has demonstrated persistence in overcoming challenging topics. Charlie pushes himself everyday to be better than the day before. Keep it up Charlie!
Our SCS spotlight for Friday is KeMya Dunn! KeMya has committed herself to maintaining good grades, and she has worked diligently during Q1. She is academically dedicated, and she is an example of the results of steady effort and determination. We see your effort, KeMya! Keep up the good work.

Our SCS spotlight for Wednesday was Tanaysha King. Tanaysha has been very motivated to just get up and come to school everyday. Even when she misses the bus, she reaches out to get picked up so she can come to school and learn. Her teachers state that this year, they have seen a big improvement in Tanaysha. She has been very attentive and not afraid to say she doesn’t understand or if something isn’t right. She put the effort in checking her grades and will correct and help her peers. We are proud to have you at SCS. Keep up the great work, Tanaysha!
Our SCS Spotlight for Thursday was Jett Hegwood! Jett always participates in classroom discussions! He loves to be involved and take responsibility for his learning. He is very helpful with classroom tasks. Jett shows integrity everyday and he will be seen doing the right thing, even when he thinks no one is watching him. He's also persevered and pushed himself to read more! Keep up the great work, Jett!
Our SCS spotlight for Friday was Addison Smith. Addison is always ready to rock and roll, and she is so responsible. She knows how to read a room and can help if need be or give friends space.
